How to be an Ally. A conversation with Hugh Molotsi

man behind a black lives matter sign

I had the great honor of working with Hugh during our time at Intuit. His words, his actions, his work have been a great influence on my professional life. It was great to engage with Hugh in a conversation about race, innovation, engaging as a community, and what it means to be an ally.

Thank you Hugh for your time. I am glad to have you as a friend.

“If we can all collectively have this conversation where it’s not about pointing fingers and blaming people. It’s more about whats a better approach. I do think innovation can have a huge impact.”

“Ultimately people are prejudiced because they don’t have a lot of experience with the other. Because of that, it’s so easy to form these caricatures in your head and of course, you have many distorted views.”

“Instead of congregating in our bubble with people who look like us and think like us, the more that we can be exposed to each other the more we can start to break the barriers.”
